As the kaitiaki (guardians) of Netball, Netball South Canterbury is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people. We recognise the responsibility to promote safe practices that protect children and young people from harm and exploitation while ensuring Netball is kept fun, safe and inclusive for all. All staff, contractors, and volunteers responsible to NSC and working within our Centre will work together to embrace difference and diversity and respect the rights of children and young people. The intention of this policy is to reduce the likelihood of harm to a child as well as minimising the risk of an allegation or complaint being made.
Netball South Canterbury may share information with appropriate agencies (such as health and education providers or other agencies involved with your child’s life) if sharing that information may/is likely to protect or improve the safety, health or well-being of the child. Our agency can always legally share information with Oranga Tamariki and the Police.
Further Information can be found in our NSC Safe Netball for Children Policy at the bottom of this page.

It is expected that all NSC staff and volunteers complete these modules.
