futureFERNS at Year 5 & 6 is a 6 v 6 format that delivers fast, engaging netball with plenty of opportunities for players to get involved. With only three positions on court, the game stays simple and easy to understand, helping players build their skills with confidence.
This streamlined structure also supports coaches, making it easier to guide players as they learn the fundamentals. Every child gets the chance to develop across all areas of the game and enjoy an equal, rewarding playing experience.
Players register directly with their school or club.
Day: Saturdays
Dates: 2nd May - Finish Date TBC no later than 8th August 2026
No play middle & last week of July School Holidays & Kings Birthday Weekend.
Time: First Round starts 8.30am
Final Round starts at 2.30pm
Where: The Stadium, Aorangi Park and
Roncalli College, Covered Courts, Wellington St, Timaru
Note: In 2026 due to availability of courts during new stadium build, length of games will be slightly reduced.
